BLUE RIDGE COFFEEHOUSE CONCERT SERIES: Join us this Friday, February 12, 7:30 p.m. for a concert to benefit Haiti relief efforts through the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Fund (PDA); charge is $10/person. Performing will be half of the well-known acoustic quartet Speidel, Goodrich (Tom Goodrich, pastor of Meadows Presbyterian Church), Goggin and Lille (SGGL). Help our brothers and sisters in Haiti while you enjoy Shenandoah Joe Coffee free of charge!

HAITI CLASS RESCHEDULED! Join us in the Fellowship Hall this Sunday, February 14, during the Sunday school hour (10:05-11:05 a.m.) for an in depth discussion of how our church is responding to the earthquake in Haiti. Church member Jack Stoner, founder of Building Goodness Foundation, will have just returned from Haiti and will share his eyewitness account of developments on the ground. Bob Garnett, Christian Outreach elder and veteran Haiti mission trip participant, will also help facilitate the class.

SERVICE OF WORSHIP FOR ASH WEDNESDAY Wednesday, February 17. Dinner at 5:45 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, Worship at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Lent is a time to prepare for the Easter celebration of our redemption through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We begin our journey toward Easter Sunday by joining together for a meal and then in a service of worship, repenting together as a community held together by Gods loving grace and forgiveness. Please join Reverend Gavin Meek for this time of fellowship, worship, community repentance, and trust in God’s grace.

WINTER WEATHER POLICY In the event of snow, ice or poor road conditions on a Sunday morning, it will be the policy of First Presbyterian Church to hold regular services. In the event of severe winter weather, worship services may be cancelled without warning. Weekday Snow Policy: The church schedule will be in accordance with the City of Charlottesville school closings. This includes all evening activities. In all circumstances, please check the following radio and television stations for updated information on possible church closings and possible exceptions to the aforementioned policy: WVIR TV29, WINA (1070 AM), WQMZ (95.1 FM), WWWV (97.5 FM), and WCHV (1260 AM).
